ollie paterson is a trans-femme filmmaker, dop and creative producer creating stories by merging aesthetic, filmic and technological forms to explore the present and historical realities of (and in collaboration with) marginalised groups and individuals. She experiments with technology, queering the tools she uses, applying hardware and/ or software incorrectly, corrupting or rewiring them to expose artifacts and aberrations as a way to create ultra-subjective depictions of the personal/political realities of characters or subjects, with an intense focus on both the somatic and the spiritual.

she is also the studio manager of SHED, an artists atlier and cultural events space based in Rotterdam Zuid where she is currently based.

she has also held senior producer positions at BAK, basis voor actuele Kunst, Utrecht & Sonic acts, Amsterdam - and continues to work as a producer in the cultural field on a freelance basis.
